The Practicum is designed to give students supervised practical application of previously studied knowledge and skills. Practicum experiences can occur in a variety of locations appropriate to the nature and level of experience. This course provides the student with structured and individualized experiential learning opportunities in the emergency services. Students will work with a coordinator or faculty member from the College. The student’s experience will be related to academic studies and must contribute significantly to professional development. Arrangements must be made prior to registration, including acceptance of initial proposal and assignment. A written final report must be submitted. May be repeated for a maximum of six credit hours.
