This course is designed to prepare students for responsible decision making in a variety of areas that confront young adults as they prepare to move into life beyond college. The primary focus of this course is the development of essential skills for living on their own, in a family or with others. Students are likely to try to balance family, career and community roles, manage their resources and develop lasting relationships. This course focuses on practical information and skills related to such topics as interpersonal and family relationships, financial literacy, career preparation, life management, healthy living, foods and nutrition, and housing.
