Lecture series, field trips, and local walking tours utilizing East Georgia State College’s walking trail. The course is designed to provide students with an overview of the natural history of five main topics - birds, reptiles and amphibians, mammals, arthropods and the woody plants of southeastern Georgia. Lectures encompass field biology techniques, habitat, descriptions, and identification of specimens. This course is designed for biology majors seeking a general understanding of nature of Georgia and sharing environmental concerns.
Prerequisite(s): C or higher in BIOL 1107 Haha
